Every UK driver could face 'unlimited fines' under new sleeping law

Last week the Highway Code underwent 33 changes - including clearer advice on where to stop in case of an emergency, the importance of not driving in a lane closed by a Red X, and the use of variable speed limits to manage congestion.

And now those behind the wheel are being told they could face spending time behind bars if they don’t get ‘sufficient sleep’.
