A local duo are set to reunite their musical talents to freshen up the live music scene.Mark McMillan and Scott McPartlan from alt rock outfit Dirty Sally are reuniting on Thursday, June 9, at The Keg, to play acoustic music in order to promote their new as of yet un-named musical project.And the big reveal will be on the night! With powerful melodies and hard-hitting riffs blended with influences as varied as Nirvana and Biffy Clyro, to the beach boys and Johnny Cash, the duo seek to start a movement for people who love real grassroots music again.This is the first of many possible new music nights in The Keg bar and grill, which is famous for it’s absolutely unmatched open mic Wednesday hosted by Johnny Barr.On the night, opening acts are Melissa McMillan – who is Mark’s sister, who will be playing her own brand of heartfelt, pop tingled acoustic rock.With influences from Jimmy Eat World to Lissie and Florence and the Machine, she has a style all her own.And also Graeme Kerr who is a lively and energetic performer and his songs are well crafted, catchy and dynamic.
