Robert De Niro's production company has been ordered to pay $1.26 million (£1,020,395) to his former assistant who sued over gender discrimination while the actor himself was found to be not personally liable.The Hollywood star's production company has been battling out a civil case against Graham Chase Robinson, but while a judge ruled that he was not personally liable, his production company Canal Productions has been ordered to pay out. Chase had worked her way up from being the Raging Bull star's personal assistant to a senior role as vice president of production and finance at Canal Productions before resigning, but had accused her former employers of alleged workplace and sexual harassment and sexism.

Comedian Tommy Tiernan has revealed he was involved in a terrifying airplane incident which saw a fellow passenger attempt to open the door mid-flight. Tommy, 54, who played Gerry Quinn in hit series Derry Girls, recalled how a person caused carnage on a packed flight from America when he began "roaring and shouting" before being tackled to the floor and causing the flight to make an emergency landing. Speaking on the Tommy, Hector and Laurita podcast, Tommy opened up on the terrifying experience, admitting that he suspected the passenger was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident.

Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden is set to star in an ABBA-inspired horror flick, titled Bjorn Of The Dead.The news comes shortly after the iconic metal frontman announced details of his upcoming solo tour, and is set to see him take on a lead role in an apocalyptic, zombie-themed movie.According to a report by Deadline, Dickinson signed on to star in the project – which will centre on an ABBA tribute band who get trapped in a nightclub with other tribute acts just as an apocalypse starts.“Bjorn and his band must work together to save themselves, humanity, and the future of music,” it reads.The Iron Maiden frontman is one of several famous faces from the rock and metal scene to appear in Bjorn Of The Dead, according to the outlet, although no other names have been announced at the time of writing.The upcoming horror was written by the singer’s son, Austin, who is also a rock vocalist for London bands As Lions and Rise To Remain. The premise is also based on the original story by Andrew Prendergast, who is producing the movie alongside Austin.Directed by Elza Kephart, filming is set to start next year and speaking with the outlet, Austin said he was “honoured” to be working on “this crazy adventure”.“Andrew, Elza, and myself can’t wait for you guys to see what’s in store,” he said.

Phoebe Bridgers of Boygenius has hit out at online trolls who make comments about her body online, and use social media to “actively embarrass themselves.”The singer, songwriter and guitarist spoke out about the slew of nasty comments she and her bandmates receive online in a new interview with GQ, and stated that she finds it “fucking embarrassing” how people actually take to social media to make comments about their appearance.The topic arose when the band were asked about their set at Belgium’s Pukkelpop festival in August, when Bridgers ripped her shirt open and revealed her bare chest.Bandmate Lucy Dacus then followed suit, and the two spun around on stage together before falling to the floor. After it happened, discussion of the moment spread across social media, with some users criticising the musicians for what they saw as public indecency.“Twitter’s dead and everyone who’s actively using Twitter is, I think, fucking embarrassing themselves,” said Bridgers, reflecting on the comments.

lawsuit filed against Robert De Niro, by his former personal assistant.De Niro’s company, Canal Productions, has been ordered to pay more than $1.2 million to Graham Chase Robinson, the actor’s long-time personal assistant, after it was found to have engaged in gender discrimination.However, De Niro himself was found to be not personally liable for the abuse. This follows a two-week trial in New York City, where De Niro denied all claims of being an abusive employer.Robinson, 41, brought claims against De Niro after she quit the job in 2019 following disagreements with De Niro’s then girlfriend, Tiffany Chen.

A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man who was found unconscious in the street. Police have arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of murder following the incident on Abbey Hills Road, in Oldham, yesterday evening (November 9).
