ITV’s rerun of Euro 96 got underway on Monday night with England ’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland. With this year’s European Championship being postponed by 12 months due to the coronavirus crisis, ITV has decided to broadcast every match from the summer football came home.
A total of 16 teams took part with England playing the role of hosts. England were playing in their first tournament since Euro 92, where they finished bottom of their group with no wins and just one goal scored.
ITV are showing all of England’s games on ITV4 with all the other matches being shown on the ITV Hub between May 12 and May 29.
