Ethan Shanfeld It’s a family reunion at the Emmys, as Eugene and Dan Levy are in talks to host the 76th kudocast on ABC, taking place Sept.
15 at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles. The father-son duo, who co-created “Schitt’s Creek” and each won Emmys for it, are currently in negotiations with the Television Academy, and a deal has not yet been struck, sources tell Variety.
Neither the Television Academy, nor representatives for the Levys, returned Variety‘s request for comment. Eugene and Dan Levy have presented together at awards ceremonies, including the 2020 SAG Awards, and once guest-hosted “Ellen” as a duo.
In their six-season CBC comedy “Schitt’s Creek,” they played father and son Johnny and David Rose, whose family, after an embezzlement scheme, is forced to move out of their mansion and into a motel in Schitt’s Creek, a town they once bought as a joke.
