are no closer to snapping up the Norwegian now than they were two seasons ago. There are a number of reasons, but the main stumbling block for Manchester United is the fact Haaland would cost in excess of £100million - a huge outlay, especially after the Red Devils just splashed out £73million on Jadon Sancho.
It is because of this that rumours of a swap deal have emerged. The idea is a simple one. Manchester United swap a first-team player for Haaland and sweeten the deal with some cash.
