Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has urged his team to dominate possession this evening when they host Chelsea in the Premier League.
This season has been difficult for Ten Hag for a number of reasons both on and off the pitch. After being knocked out of the Carabao Cup, United sit bottom of their Champions League group and seventh in the Premier League following their defeat to Newcastle.
Underpinning recent performances has been United's inability to keep hold of the ball. In their last five matches in all competitions, the Reds have only recorded more possession than their opponents once (vs Luton Town). When asked about the Blues, he explained: "You can see it’s (Chelsea) a very good team. "In possession, they’re very comfortable, so that means you have to defend very good against those sides.
