Erik ten Hag has suggested he'll be able to bring a 'winning mentality' to Manchester United. Ten Hag had long been a leading candidate to permanently succeed Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford and he was officially announced as United's next manager on Thursday.

Ten Hag joins United on a three-year contract with the option of an additional year. The Dutchman will continue to manage Ajax until the end of the season.

Ten Hag answered questions on United and he reflected on his impact on Ajax during his time at the club. "I think that with me in charge, I made Ajax play the Ajax way," Ten Hag told Trouw. "With always the intention to play great and to play good.
