England are set for an 'extra lift' ahead of the Women's Euros opener at Old Trafford on Wednesday according to former Manchester City goalkeeper Karen Bardsley.
Bardsley spent eight years at the Blues before retiring at the end of the 2021/22 WSL season. During that time, Bardsley earned 81 caps for the Lionesses and became England's first choice for much of her career.
Speaking to City's official website, Bardsley believes that England have a great chance of reaching the latter stages of the tournament.
Sarina Wiegman's team are 14 matches unbeaten after a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Switzerland on Thursday.
