Emmy-winning actress Susan Hampshire mugged on London Underground, aged 87

Emmy Award winner, winning for the TV dramas The Forsyte Saga, The First Churchills, and Vanity Fair during the early ‘70s. She was awarded an OBE by the late Queen in 1995, and a CBE in 2018.

She is set to appear in a forthcoming remake of The Fortsyte Saga which filmed last year.Speaking at a Talking Pictures event earlier this week, The Mail reported her saying: “I was mugged on the underground the other day.

I wish I’d put my money in my bra because I lost my phone and my purse”.The remarks come as London struggles to deal with a rise in crime on the Underground system.
