Emmerdale star won't ever do reality TV again after being 'carted off to hospital'

Emmerdale icon Claire King has confessed that she found reality shows 'torturous' and has ruled out any future appearances. Claire is recognised by soap fans for her stone-hearted Kim Tate persona in Emmerdale, admired for her scathing comebacks and icy glares.

Claire, who first assumed the role of Kim when she was 27 in 1989, says viewers "adore" her onscreen character. Having joined Emmerdale at a young age, Claire took a break from the show in 1999 to star in the popular ITV series Bad Girls and its rival soap Coronation Street.

However, it wasn't until 2006 that she ventured into reality TV, finishing sixth in Strictly Come Dancing. She has since revealed the incident has discouraged her from participating in more reality shows. When asked whether she would consider joining I'm a Celeb or even Dancing on Ice, Claire bluntly told Woman's Weekly: "Not a chance.
