Emmerdale legend Patsy Kensit is reportedly set to tie the knot with her boyfriend of five weeks. The actress, who is perhaps best known to audiences for portraying Sadie King in the ITV soap, is said to have accepted property tycoon Patrick Cassidy’s proposal, after he popped the question earlier this week. ‘Both Patsy and Patrick are smitten, and it just feels very right,’ a source told The Sun. ‘He popped the question at Scott’s in London on Tuesday, and after she celebrated they took over the bar at the nearby Connaught hotel and bought the whole room Cristal champagne. ’The insider added that the couple have only been together ‘a matter of weeks’, but stated that Patsy is ‘going with her heart’. Her second marriage was to Simple Minds’ Jim Kerr between 1992 and 1996, going on to marry Oasis’ Liam Gallagher, the father of her second son Lennon, from 1997 until 2000 and DJ Jeremy Healy from 2009 until 2010.

Patsy is also mum to a son named James, who she had with second husband Kerr. Earlier this year, the soap star revealed that she only really considers her marriages to her children’s dads as her signifiant ones. ‘Well, I married all my boyfriends, so … that was something that I’ve learned I needn’t do,’ she said on the Postcard from Midlife podcast. ‘I can’t change the rules of the law… [but] I was with Jim, and Lennon’s dad for years, so I kind of count them as my two marriages.
