Emmerdale star Lorraine Chase has recalled the shocking moment when she nearly died while choking before a barmaid saved her life.
The actress, 68, said she's "lucky to be alive" as she admits she's "never been so frightened in all my life". The scare took place after a piece of rye bread became stuck in her throat as she celebrated a friend's birthday at a local pub, and if it wasn't for the barmaid that rushed to her aid, Lorraine may not have made it.
Recalling the terrifying experience to The Sun , Lorraine revealed her friends were too shocked to help her during the choking scare.
