Emmerdale fans were in for some uncomfortable viewing on last night's episode (Wednesday). Tense scenes have had viewers gripped recently as an increasingly unstable Colin Hampston locked Laurel Thomas in a bedroom after she attempted to retrieve his son Marshall's passport.Marshall became estranged from his homophobic dad after Colin refused to accept his sexuality, and last night fans saw the situation take an even darker twist as Laurel made a desperate attempt to escape from the vengeful councillor.Colin, played by actor Mark Noble, told Laurel that he would allow her to leave his captivity, being determined to make contact with his son - but only on one condition, if she first phoned Marshall and managed to convince him to come over to the house.He then revealed to Laurel, Charlotte Bellamy, his intentions to send his son away to a gay-conversion therapy camp in America.Horrified by Colin's plan, Laurel told him: "You can't change someone's sexuality.
