Fans of the ITV soap saw Dean Andrews bow out of playing Will Taylor in the Dales on Christmas Day as the character suffered a heart attack without any quick action from his wife Kim Tate.
As Emmerdale viewers knew, Will had been conspiring with her financial advisor Peter to bring Kim down once and for all. It came after, during their recent separation, Kim offered Will £100,000 in their divorce settlement, but he was determined to secure half of everything - including her beloved Home Farm.
They went on to reconcile and had been planning to renew their wedding vows on Christmas Day. But all wasn't as it seemed with Will continuing to conspire with Peter.
