Emmerdale's April star flooded with messages as she marks major milestone away from soap

Emmerdale star Amelia Flanagan has been flooded with messages of congratulations as she revealed a big milestone away from appearing in the show.

The actress is best known for having grown up on screen in the ITV soap playing April Windsor. The character is the daughter of Marlon Dingle and the late Donna Windsor and soap fans first saw Amelia in the role of the youngster back in 2014 when she was only six years old.

And Amelia, whose siblings Isabella and William star in Coronation Street, is regularly praised for her performance in Emmerdale and has plenty of awards to her name already, winning Best Young Actor at the Insider Soap Awards for three years in a row and was awarded The British Soap Awards' Best Young Performance gong in 2015. Taking to Instagram with a string of snaps, the teen could be seen posing in front of a balloon display which said: "Class of 2024".
