Emmerdale icon 'quits' ITV soap after 25 years as popular character's exit 'confirmed'

According to reports, actress Samantha Giles is said to be leaving Bernice Blackstock behind. It wouldn't be the first time Bernice has departed the village and the good news for fans is it may not be the last either, writes The Mirror.It's thought that Bernice will leave again later this year although the storyline is not yet confirmed.
It's claimed that it won't be a definite end for her and the door will be left open for her to return, even though she's had four stints on the show and three exits since her arrival in 1998.Fans of the soap will need to wait and see what happens for Bernice amid hints of a romance with Bob Hope earlier this year.
Bob has yet to uncover his current partner Wendy Posner is having an affair with Bernice's ex Liam Cavanagh right under his nose.
