New mum Emily Atack has fired back at those who asked her when she will be back at the gym, just days after giving birth to her baby boy, Barney. The former Inbetweeners actress faced a challenging start to motherhood when her first born arrived via an emergency C-section, leaving her unable to walk for weeks.

While adapting to motherhood, the 34-year-old was stunned by the many people who asked her about shedding her baby weight. Ranting about the culprits, she said: "You are recovering from a C-Section which is absolutely horrendous, you can't walk for weeks on end, you go through everything, it's horrendous. "I couldn't walk for weeks, but the hospital just go 'right bye, here's your baby' and you just have to deal with it.

And you get home, and the first thing people say to you is, 'when are you going to get back in the gym?'." Clapping back, she said: "Are you [kidding], I have literally...

what do you mean when am I going to get back to the gym? I've just created a human, I am exhausted. "I've just tried to push a human out of me and had it ripped out of my stomach, the last thing I want to do is go to the gym." Lamenting further about the pressure to snap back into pre-pregnancy form, she continued: "But the first thing you're expected to do is get back into shape, you have to be slim again." Speaking further on Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast, Emily urged people to be more mindful when it comes to questions for new mothers, suggesting a simple 'congratulations' could speak volumes.
