Emeli Sande cancels wedding to fiancée one year after engagement
dailyrecord.co.ukScots singer Emeli Sande has been forced to call off her wedding just one year after she announced her engagement to pianist Yoana Karemova.
The My Kind Of Love singer came out in April 2022 and announced she and Yoana were engaged in September last year. But now, Emeli has said that due to her busy schedule, the pair have had to change their plans to tie the knot, writes The Mirror.The 36-year-old said that the wedding would not go ahead in 2023 as her work schedule is set to ramp up in the coming months.
She told the Metro: "We’ve kind of put them on hold until I get this album out and we do the shows this year but we’ll probably start planning next year or early next year."Emeli was previously married to marine biologist Adam Gouraguine.
The pair were childhood sweethearts who met as teenagers and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Montenegro in 2012. However, Emeli ended their marriage after just one year.Emeli previously said that Yoana was "the one for life".
