Elon Musk Threatens Mark Zuckerberg's Threads With a Lawsuit, Accusing Company of 'Cheating'

Elon Musk is threatening to sue Mark Zuckerberg‘s Meta over the launch of the company’s new social media platform Threads.

Threads, an alterative to Twitter that is linked to Instagram, launched this week with a multitude of celebrities signing on to give it their stamp of approval.

However, Elon, the owner of Twitter, appears to be less than enthused by the new competition. He is now threatening with a lawsuit and attempting to make a case. Read more about Elon Musk’s threat of a lawsuit… Variety noted that a lawyer for Twitter sent Meta a cease-and-desist letter taking issue with the newly launched platform.

The letter accuses Threads of copying Twitter and using “trade secrets” obtained from former Twitter employees to launch. “Twitter intends to strictly enforce its intellectual property rights, and demands that Meta take immediate steps to stop using any Twitter trade secrets or other highly confidential information,” the letter reads.
