Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.
The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.
Elon Musk again is denying that he was donating tens of millions of dollars a month to Donald Trump, calling it a “fiction.” “At no point did I say I was donating $45 million a month to Trump.
That was a fiction made up by The Wall Street Journal,” he told ABC News on a visit to Capitol Hill today. The Journal reported on July 16 that Musk had said that he planned to donate the $45-million-a-month sum to America PAC in support of Trump’s run.
The Journal has stood by the story despite Musk’s earlier denials. It also should be noted that there is a difference between donating to the super PAC, which is an independent expenditure group that can collect unlimited contributions, and directly to the Trump campaign, which is subject to limits.
Musk’s latest denial comes after he gave an interview to psychologist and author Jordan Peterson in which he said, “I am not donating $45 million a month to Trump.” He said that the America PAC “is not meant to be a hyper partisan PAC.” The America PAC, though, already has spent millions supporting Donald Trump and opposing Joe Biden, when he was in the race, according to records from the Federal Election Commission.
