Elon Musk 's quirky baby name won't be allowed on the birth certificate, according to reports. The inventor sent Twitter into meltdown when he announced that he and partner Grimes had named their new son X Æ A-12.
But it's said that he won't actually be able to legally give the moniker to his child. According to TMZ, the couple aren't legally allowed to put X Æ A-12 on the birth certificate, despite them obviously being allowed to call their baby whatever they want.
A supervisor at the Department of Public Health Vital Records Office, Los Angeles is said to have told the publication that it's illegal to include symbols and numbers in names on birth certificates in the state of California.
