The 32-year-old Canadian singer took to her Instagram comments yesterday to explain to a fan that the name of her son has changed from X Æ A-12, pronounced 'Ex Ash A12', to X Æ A-Xii.
Although only a slight adjustment has been made, the songstress said they needed to alter "12" from their little one's moniker as California law prohibits Into-Arabic numerals in people's names.
Altering it to abide by the law, the couple substituted "12" for the number in Roman numerals, X Æ A-Xii. Grimes' explanation came after a fan asked the singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, to clarify her child's name on Instagram.
