Ellie Goulding has opened up about feeling “sad as hell”, just weeks after revealing that she and her husband of four years, Caspar Jopling, had called time on their relationship.
Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, 17 March, the 37 year old shared a post on her story which paid “solidarity” to anybody else who was feeling similar to her before sharing an optimistic quote for the future. “Solidarity to anyone else feeling sad as hell today,” the Burn singer wrote on top of a black background. “Tomorrow will be better,” she added.
The post comes after Ellie and Caspar, who share two year old son Arthur together, announced that they’d gone their separate ways following speculation regarding their relationship status.
In an emotional statement, the Starry Eyed songstress explained that she and 32 year old Caspar had split “some time ago” but that they remained friends and were co-parenting their son. “In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Casper and I privately separated some time ago.
