Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling have announced their split following four years of marriage after the singer was snapped kissing another man on holiday.The 37-year-old popstar and 32-year-old art dealer Caspar tied the knot in a lavish wedding at York Minster on August 31 2019.The now former couple welcomed their first child called Arthur two years later with their son being born on April 29 2021.In recent months, Ellie and Caspar's marriage has been rocked by split rumours after the singer was spotted cosying up with 49-year-old politician Zac Goldsmith.Earlier this week, photos and footage of her emerged locking lips with a surf instructor in Costa Rica, adding further speculation about the state of her marriage, the Mirror reports.Ellie and Casper have now confirmed their separation on social media as they admitted they split up a while ago.Taking to Instagram on Friday, the duo shared their news in statements that Ellie uploaded to her stories.

Sharing a statement penned by Caspar himself, Ellie uploaded the wording which reads: “Hi people - hope you’re having a good day.

I feel (sadly) that I need to say something on mine and Ellie’s current relationship.. that I hope more than anything will make any final tabloid speculation disappear.“Ellie and I made the decision to separate some time ago.

Our immediate family and close friends have known for some time - otherwise we chose to do what we could to keep this private. "Ellie and I remain the closest of friends and, most importantly, ‘co-parents’ to the best kiddo in the world, Arthur.
