In the episode, we found out that Alex will not be returning to his wife Jo and he has instead reunited with his ex-wife Izzie (played by Katherine Heigl), who secretly gave birth to their twins a decade ago.
The reaction from fans to this conclusion to Karev’s storyline has been very mixed, with some hardcore fans very upset by what happened.
