Ellen Pompeo Says She Won’t Let Her Daughter Watch ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Because She Is ‘Not Ready’ to See ‘Me in My Underwear on Television’

Lauren Coates Ellen Pompeo has spent more than 20 years as Meredith Grey on “Grey’s Anatomy,” but she’s not quite ready to let her kid watch the series.

During a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to promote her new true crime show “Good American Family,” Pompeo confessed that although her oldest daughter has seen “Grey’s,” she’s reluctant to let her middle daughter watch the long-running medical drama. “My 15-year-old has seen it.

And now my 10-year-old wants to see it, which, she’s not ready, but a lot of kids in her class have seen it.” Pompeo told Kimmel.

Pompeo added. “[Hollywood] is a super weird place in that way, but also a really incredible place at the same time because these kids look all around them and they see a bunch of people whose dreams came true.
