The 43-year-old The Lord of the Rings actor referred to Mette-Marie, 33, as his “wife” in a new interview and sources have revealed details about their recent wedding. “I’m beyond grateful for my family and my kids and my wife,” Elijah said while speaking on the Inside of You podcast with Michael Rosenbaum.

Keep reading to find out more… Sources told TMZ that Elijah and Mette-Marie “got married in Sweden on New Year’s Eve in what was described as an intimate ceremony with about 80 friends and family members.” The couple has been together since at least 2018 and they share two children together – a son born in 2019 and a daughter born in 2022. Mette-Marie is a movie producer and worked with Elijah on the 2017 movie I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore.
