Eleven people are accused taking part in a child sexual abuse ring also allegedly involving witchcraft, serious violence and neglect.
The seven men and four women faced a 14-page indictment listing 43 different charges during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on Monday.
The accusations mainly centre around three young children - two girls and a boy - between January 2010 and March 2020 at various addresses in the Townhead, Maryhill and Craigend areas of Glasgow.They include claims the trio were raped at different times while some of the group did "clap, cheer and verbally encourage" as well as video record what was happening.
One of the young girls was said to have been shut in a microwave during an attempt to kill her. It also alleged the children were forced to take part in satanic "seances" and made to kill animals.
