Electorate in West Lothian urged to get prepared for the upcoming Scottish Parliament vote

Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.With the Scottish Parliament Election on Thursday May 6 drawing ever nearer, eligible voters in West Lothian are urged to make sure everything is in place to allow them to cast their vote.Voters have a range of options for casting their ballot – in person, by post or by appointing someone they trust to vote in their place, known as a proxy vote.For those who choose to vote in person the registration deadline is midnight on Monday 19 April.

Registration can be completed online - http://www.gov.uk/register-to-voteThe deadline for requesting or changing a postal vote is earlier than usual, at 5 pm on 6 April 2021.Applications for a proxy vote.
