The family of a devoted Manchester City fan killed in a horror crash is asking fans to take part in a tribute to him at the Etihad Stadium.

Will Place, 23, died after the Dacia Sandero he was driving crashed into the White Lion pub on York Street in Heywood in the early hours of Monday, July 1.

The crash, that occurred after police officers in a patrol car had attempted to stop the vehicle on nearby Bolton Road moments before, then sparked a huge blaze, with fire crews racing to the incident.
