Torreira joined Atletico Madrid on loan in the summer as Thomas Partey went the other way. But the Uruguay international has struggled to tie down a permanent place in Diego Simeone's side, who are top of La Liga, and there are claims that Torreira is unhappy.
Arsenal are now considering cutting the loan deal short to allow Torreira to secure a transfer to another club. Valencia are among the clubs keen on snapping up the 24-year-old, but by Edu's own admission his phone is ringing off the hook with suitors ready to snap up Torreira.
