Four more teenagers have been arrested following disorder in Edinburgh on Bonfire Night.Violence erupted at significant levels in the Niddrie, Calder Road, Gracemount and Moredun areas ofthe capital on November 5.
Police released footage of large groups of of youths launching fireworks and other projectiles at officers, vehicles and public property while fires were also set in some of these areas.Officers probing the carnage have confirmed three more teenagers have been charged in connection with the disturbances on Calder Road.
A 16-year-old boy was charged on Tuesday while two 17-year-old males were charged on Wednesday. All three will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, December 3.A fourth teen, a 15-year-old male, was also arrested on Wednesday following incidents that took place on Captain’s Road, where projectiles were thrown at officers.
He will appear in court on an undertaking at a later date. In total 13 people have been charged, five homes have been searched and two vehicles seized following offences that took place between Halloween and Bonfire Night.
