Ederson has always been integral to how Manchester City play, but Erling Haaland has offered another weapon to his armoury. Since Haaland's arrival last summer, City have transitioned from effectively two seasons without a natural striker to playing more directly to supply goal-machine Haaland.
While most of Haaland's passes and crosses come from out wide or through the middle, City have also utilised Ederson's brilliant accuracy from long balls.
One goal last season - at home to Brighton - saw an Ederson long ball find the run of Haaland to barge his defender to the ground and score.
The pair have combined on other occasions to stretch a defence, even if it hasn't resulted in a goal.
