Eddie Redmayne weighed in on the future of the Fantastic Beasts franchise. The 42-year-old actor brought Newt Scamander to life in the Harry Potter spinoff series, which started with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 2016.
A sequel followed two years later, and in 2022 Eddie returned to the universe for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
Since then, fans have wondered if a fourth movie would follow. Eddie shared his thoughts on reprising the role in a new interview. Keep reading to find out more… Speaking to Variety, Eddie said that he is done with the franchise. “As far as I’m concerned – no,” he told the outlet when asked about future movies.
He continued, adding, “That’s a question for one of our [Warner Bros. Discovery] leaders.” While Eddie doesn’t plan to make more movies in the series, he did reprise the role for an exciting project this summer.
