Eddie Murphy, Maya Rudolph Win Comedy Guest Acting Emmys for 'SNL' Roles

hollywoodreporter.comEddie Murphy and Maya Rudolph won Emmys Saturday for their guest roles in the same episode of Saturday Night Live. Murphy won the Emmy for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for his hosting turn on the NBC sketch show in December 2019.
Maya Rudolph won for outstanding guest actress in a comedy — her second Emmy this year — for playing Sen. Kamala Harris in the same episode.
The Emmy is the first of Murphy's career. He was nominated twice before during his time as a cast member of the show in the early 1980s, along with nods for writing on SNL in 1984 and as a producer of The PJs in 1999.
