While Ange Postecoglou looks to be the frontrunner the sudden decision from the Englishman to walk away from the deal in Glasgow's east end has sparked supporter concerns.The Parkhead club insisted that the reasons for the failure to get the deal over the line was outwith the control of both them and Howe in a statement.
It is understood that Celtic made moves for Howe's potential backroom team including Richard Hughes, Stephen Purches and Simon Weatherstone but some members didn’t didn’t want to move north.
