Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has been spotted arriving at Carrington on Monday morning. The executive vice-chairman is set for a busy few weeks as he looks to deliver the signings Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs.
It’s clear Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is at the top of the Norwegian’s wishlist but Woodward has his work cut out negotiating a deal.
Dortmund are determined to hold out for a fee of around £100m but United want to pay closer to the £80m mark amid the financial hit they’ve taken from the coronavirus pandemic.The Bundesliga giants have set a August 10 deadline to agree a deal for the England international.Their campaign starts on September 18, with the transfer deadline for international deals on October 5 and Dortmund.
