We may be getting closer to that collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Cradle Of Filth you’re always wittering on about. The metal band’s vocalist Dani Filth has revealed that he and Sheeran have been in contact and are planning to get together.This follows a recent throwaway comment by Sheeran saying that he “would not be opposed” to recording a bit of metal one day. “I was really into death metal as a kid”, he told The Sun. “I listened to Cradle Of Filth and Slipknot and all that stuff.

I’m not saying I could ever step into that world. [But] I learnt all those riffs on guitar as a kid”.Filth responded by saying “I’ll believe it when I see it”, and now it seems he may get that opportunity sooner rather than later.
