Ed Sheeran fans might need to brace themselves for a change of pace when it comes to his music as he has hinted he might reinvent himself as a death metal musician.

The 30-year-old chart topping star has made himself something of a king of bland pop music – with his generic tunes proving too irresistible to most and becoming smash hits around the world.

But Ed says he may well swap out his pop-by-numbers music making ways to switch things up and instead create new tunes that include thrashing guitar riffs, gnarly bass beats and vicious drum hammering.
