Ed Sheeran has given his fans a surprise to kick off Christmas week as he returned to releasing music after an 18-month hiatus.

The star released a song called Afterglow on Monday, 21 December at 11am after teasing that he had ‘a Christmas present’ for them on Sunday.

His 2019 No.6 Collaborations project featuring Stormzy, Cardi B, Justin Bieber and Camilla Cabello was his last release before this single.
