Ed Sheeran denies Drake this week’s Number 1 single as Bad Habits claims 11th week at Official Singles Chart top spot

Ed Sheeran claims an 11th consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Bad Habits. Bad Habits scores 8.4 million streams to land its latest week at the top, denying Drake his seventh Number 1 single in the UK following the release of new album Certified Lover Boy.

With 11 weeks at Number 1 in the UK, Bad Habits now stands in line with Tones and I’s Dance Monkey (2019), Despacito by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee ft.

Justin Bieber (2017), and Rose Marie by Slim Whitman (1955) who all managed the same feat. Drake may not have quite managed to topple Bad Habits, but has earned three spots in the Top 5 in this week’s chart with Girls Want Girls (2), Fair Trade (3) and Champagne Poetry (5) – bringing his total number of Top 10
