eBay users say that an upcoming change to the buying experience will be the "worst move ever". Online marketplace eBay has confirmed that buyers will face new charges when purchasing from private sellers, in a change coming into force on 4 February.

The e-commerce site is introducing "buyer protection fee" will be automatically included in the item price when buying from private sellers.

eBay has reassured buyers that there will be no surprises at checkout, the cost will already be included on the listing. And Buyer Protection will be included at no extra cost when buying from business sellers.
