An outraged mum has blasted easyJet after claiming she received an email cancelling her holiday while mid-flight. Kerry Andrews set off to Alicante from Manchester Airport with her daughter, 16, celebrating an successful exam season.
However, during their flight to Spain, Kerry reportedly got an email informing her their package holiday had been axed. Initially disbelieving the email upon hotel check-in, the reality dawned when Kerry was bluntly informed at Alicante Airport they did not have a return booking.
The mother said: "When I went to the check-in desk they said 'you've got no flight'. They didn't offer us anything - no alternative flights."They just basically said find your own way home.
I was told they'd cancelled my whole holiday while I was in the air - I don't know if they wanted me to jump out the window or what." Due to her daughter's autism, the Mirror reports they received special assistance and managed to snag the last two spots on another airline's flight back to Manchester.
