Scots holidaymakers will. be able to fly to European fashion hub from less than £35 thanks to a new route from easyJet. The airline has announced a new connection from Edinburgh to Milan which will begin operation next year.
Seats can be booked now for as little as £32.99, with customers to also be offered package holidays to the Italy's second biggest city from £243 per person.The new route will fly from the capital city to Milan Linate airport which is situated just four miles east of Milan's city centre.
The travel time from the airport to the centre is around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.The carrier already flies from Edinburgh to Milan's Malpensa airport and the added route will give customers more choice when it comes to holidays and business trips to Italy.The route, which will begin flying on March 30, 2025, has been enabled by the opening of a five aircraft base at Linate next spring.
This follows approval by the European Commission for easyJet to be the short haul carrier of slots in Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino, as part of the transaction between ITA Airways and Lufthansa.It's another boost to Scots holidaymakers as the airline has, launched seven new routes from Scotland in the past month.
