Danny, 46, famously exited the soap over the festive season in 2022 when his character Mick Carter tragically disappeared at sea.The incident occurred after a tense confrontation involving Janine Butcher (played by Charlie Brooks) and Linda Carter, leading Mick to heroically dive into the waves to save the two women.
However, he vanished beneath the surf and hasn't been seen since. With Mick being declared "presumed dead" by officials due to his body never being found, Linda has been left heartbroken.
Yet fans were sent into a frenzy on Wednesday 22 May when Kellie uploaded an adorable selfie with Danny to her Instagram, fuelling rumours that the beloved Queen Vic landlord might be set for a sensational comeback.
