EastEnders star Samantha Womack reveals she has breast cancer
msn.comEastEnders actress Samantha Womack, 49, announced that she is undergoing treatment for breast cancer as she paid tribute to Grease icon Olivia Newton-John, who suffered from the same disease, on Tuesday (August 9).
The actress, who has also appeared in the West End, announced on Twitter that she is "starting my own battle with this disease" in a heartbreaking post as she paid tribute to Olivia Newton-John in the wake of her death.
The Grease icon died aged 73 on Monday morning (August 8) at her ranch in Southern California, surrounded by her loved ones.
Her cause of death has yet to be announced. Samantha, the Mirror reports, seemingly found strength from the actress, who battled breast cancer for three decades, to share her own health struggles.
