mirror.co.ukEastEnders star Melissa Suffield has announced that she's welcomed her first child — a healthy baby boy. The actress, who played Lucy Beale in the BBC soap, took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to share the happy news with a string of photos of the newborn.
Melissa, 27, revealed the baby's name is River Jefferson Carter-Robinson and called him "perfect". She shares little River with her fiancé Robert Brendan, who was pictured in one of the photos cuddling their bundle of joy.
Another photo showed new mum Melissa looking every inch the proud parent as she smiled down at her son. River looked adorable in a white woolly hat and a matching babygro and was wrapped in a striped blanket to keep warm.
