Charlie Brooks, best known for her role as Janine in EastEnders, has recently spoken about the potential of returning to the hit BBC soap.

In a candid chat on the Netmums podcast, the Dancing on Ice star mentioned: "I don't think it's closed forever, unless they don't want me back, I'm always open to conversations about going back.

Janine is always a fun character to play." Although Brooks expressed a readiness to revisit her role, she acknowledged her return would depend on her busy agenda: "It just always depends what else I'm doing.

I've been doing a lot of theatre, which I've loved." Further reflecting on her time with EastEnders during an appearance on another podcast with host Mark Wogan, she shared affectionate sentiments about her former colleagues: "I love the people there, I've made some really good friends over the years and and so, the beautiful thing about Janine is that you kind of always want to know what she's up to so writers can really do anything and get away with it." Brooks, who debuted on the show in 1999, has been a key player in several major storylines over the years.
