EastEnders viewers should brace for a devastating new storyline as a huge fire looks set to engulf Albert Square, leaving homes and lives in danger of being wiped out.The storyline is yet to be announced by the BBC soap's bosses, but a resident who lives near the set has told Metro that they spotted the scenes being filmed. "I heard a lot of sirens and thought something was going on but then realised it was coming from the [nearby] EastEnders set," they said. "There were ambulances and fire engines and a lot of smoke.
It was definitely not an emergency, they were filming something." Another source added: "The explosion is really the start of a massive autumn for the show that will take them through the rest of the year." EastEnders bosses.
